Radiation Shield Technology Seal It Insulation Systems has designed and tested a system by which the performance of a wall or roof system can be increased significantly using foam and a radiation shield. Our test results show that a 2 x 8 rafter containing 7" of foam and a radiation shield will perform better than a 2 x 12 rafter correctly insulated to an R38. Recycling Process Seal It Insulation Systems recycles 95% of its waste material. Seizing the opportunity to reuse the foam scarfage, Seal It designed and developed a shredder/blower which reduces bulk cut foam and delivers 1"-2" pieces of foam. Shredded pieces of foam will not compress over time as standard blown in insulation. This fact is used to thermal advantage. Flat attic recommendations are 3" of sprayed foam to create the envelope seal, 5"- 6" of shredded foam followed by an 11' blanket of blown insulation. A layer of shredded material beneath a layer of blown insulation prevents the blown insulation from settling beyond the shredded foam depth. Enter Image Gallery |
